Overview

Versus is a global data-driven comparison platform with more than 5 million monthly users worldwide. Versus covers over 90 categories, ranging from mobile devices and photo equipment to apps and services. Our goal is to provide relevant data and objective comparisons that enable you to make well-informed buying decisions. You can read more about our mission here.

Editorial values

Versus came into being out of the need for unbiased information. Marketing has a huge influence on consumers' decisions. Our goal is to present the facts in a clear and concise manner, allowing you to judge for yourself which product best fits your needs. To achieve this, we focus on four core values.

Impartiality

When selecting the content, we focus on brand reputation, the novelty of products, and their relevance for consumers. We choose only data that can be objectively compared, focusing on technical specifications and facts.

Accuracy

Our research process starts with the data offered by manufacturers or, in the case of cities or countries, official authorities. When it comes to apps and software, we test them thoroughly in order to provide accurate information. We also use secondary information sources, such as data from independent organizations that conduct product testing (DxOMark, Geekbench).

Transparency

We list our data sources in comparisons and blog articles. We strive to make our research process transparent and we are committed to improving our content based on your feedback. On the Versus blog, sponsored content is clearly distinguished from news articles and editorial content.

Simplicity

We want to make our content easily accessible to everyone. Technical terms are often difficult to understand. For this reason, we provide simple and concise explanations for each one of them. You can also express your opinion through comments and upvote the technical specs that you consider highly relevant.

Writing and style

We use a friendly, informal tone and we encourage you to start a conversation with the Versus community. You can use the comment section on our blog pages or reach out via Facebook or Twitter. Based on the questions and suggestions we receive, we choose topics for our blog articles. When creating content, we always take into account your feedback.

User-generated content

User-generated content is present on our comparison pages, product pages, blog pages, and on the Versus app. On our comparison pages, product pages, and blog pages, you can log in with your Gmail or Facebook account and leave comments. In addition to the comment feature, the Versus app allows you to add content to comparisons. You can voice your opinion or add additional information. We reserve the right to take down content that is offensive or misleading. We expect the members of our community to adhere to our editorial values.

Sharing and re-use

We encourage you to share our content in private or public channels. If you do share our content in public channels (other websites, forums, public groups), we kindly ask you to attribute the content to Versus. We also offer resources for other web publications. We've developed a comparison widget that can be easily integrated into any webpage with an iFrame. The comparison widget presents the main differences between products at a glance. It includes a radar chart that shows how products perform within their specific category.

Affiliate disclosure

Versus contains affiliate links to products. We work with several affiliate partners worldwide to offer you the best buying options. However, this does not impact our comparisons and reviews. We are completely impartial. We may receive a commission for purchases made through affiliate links. This helps us maintain our business and invest resources in creating content and developing our site.
