Nice Watch Until It Wouldn’t Update Software

I had my series 4 Apple Watch with cell service for about 2 years when it would no longer complete a software update. I tried many times and could not get it to update. I finally called Apple Support, spent 3 hours on line and on the phone with them and they made the situation worse to where my watch was frozen and completely useless. (Even with the non up to date software, my watch was still working and doing everything I needed it to do except update.). They agreed to let me send the watch in for free so they could try to repair it. After checking out the watch, they wanted $349.00 to replace the watch since they said it was unrepairable and the “battery would not hold a charge” (an issue I had never had with the watch—it would hold a charge more than 24 for me). Apple Support took no accountability for making my watch worse than when I contacted them and offered me nothing for making my watch completely useless. Unbelievable that reaching out to Apple Suppoet and wasting 3 hours destroyed my previously usable watch. I may never buy an Apple product again.

Pros

    Cons

    • Stopped updating to the latest software
    • Hard to hear when using as a phone
