An incredible, compact phone that's comfortable to hold. It's focused on AI and photography, capturing the best quality photos and videos. It has excellent optimization capabilities for uploading to social networks without deterioration in quality. It performs quite well for games even though the system is not gaming-focused, so you can play without issue. Similarly, using it in sunlight is very comfortable due to the brightness.

Though the famous camera wizardry is available on the Pro models of the Pixel line, its camera is top of the line in today's market. Processing speeds and battery life are great. Offers a great OLDED/AMEOLED display. Supports HDR10. Display adjusts to lighting in your environment, offering a much easier experience when trying to use your device in the brightest of sun glare, and in darker places where light can be sensitive to your eyes. Not the greatest reviewer for phones, but it is definitely one of the best when it comes to advanced tech in your pocket. For pixel lovers, be optimistic for future models to be even more powerful and innovative for years to come. Pairs well with the Pixel Watch 2.

Great but not amazing

I really want to love this thing but it is frankly pretty mid. Screen and build quality are amazing and Google finally has their device nailed down. The size is perfect for us non-huge phone folks. Software runs really well for the most part since it's stock Android. That 120Hz also makes for a lovely experience but sometimes the interface just cant keep up. That's pretty much where the good ends for me. The phone is pretty jittery at times - their T3 chip is just not up to par with the rest of flagships these days and more equivalent to 1-2 years older top tier chips. It also gets extremely hot doing anything other than basic tasks. I have to use a case while gaming or it burns my hands. The battery life is really average, normal daily use gets me through the day but the phone will be 100% dead by bed time. The camera is shockingly not as great as everyone says. Pictures just seem to lack a lot of depth and are extremely slow to process. Colors look accurate which is nice but the 50MP sensor is just much better at being sharp than snapping a good photo. The AI features are cool but we still don't have on device processing for a lot of things like Google promised. The fingerprint sensor also frankly just sucks. If you are laying in bed at night and your finger doesn't cover it entirely, prepare to be completely blinded. It is also pretty poor at recognition, my thumb has to be on it just right to get it and that's after I double added my fingerprint to make it more recognizable. Otherwise, it's fine. I wouldn't call it a flagship but if you can get it on a deal (like Google always has), it's pretty excellent. You won't be disappointed unless you are a gamer or use your phone a lot.

Design

weight

187 g

We consider a lower weight better because lighter devices are more comfortable to carry. A lower weight is also an advantage for home appliances, as it makes transportation easier, and for many other types of products.
thickness

8.9 mm

The thickness (or depth) of the product.
width

70.8 mm

The width represents the horizontal dimension of the product.
height

150.5 mm

The height represents the vertical dimension of the product.
The device is protected with extra seals to prevent failures caused by dust, raindrops, and water splashes.
The first number of the IP rating refers to protection against dust, while the second number refers to protection against liquid. E.g. a first number of 6 denotes that it is completely dustproof, and a second number of 7 denotes that the device can withstand full immersion in water.
The waterproof depth rating indicates how well the device is protected against water ingress and water pressure. Devices which can withstand more water pressure are better for swimming or diving.
volume

94.83 cm³

Volume is the quantity of three-dimensional space enclosed by the product's chassis or, in simpler terms, the space the product occupies.

The minimum temperature at which the device can perform to the optimal level.

Display

The size of the screen (measured diagonally).
Display type

OLED/AMOLED

The type of technology used in the display.
Pixel density is a measurement of a screen's resolution, expressed as the number of pixels per inch (PPI) on the screen. A higher pixel density translates into more clarity and sharpness for the images rendered on the screen, thus improving the quality of the viewing experience.
resolution

1080 x 2400 px

Resolution is an essential indicator of a screen's image quality, representing the maximum amount of pixels that can be shown on the screen. The resolution is given as a compound value, comprised of horizontal and vertical pixels.
The frequency at which the display is refreshed (1 Hz = once per second). A higher refresh rate results in smoother UI animations and video playback.
touch sampling rate

Unknown. Help us by suggesting a value.

The touch sampling rate is the speed at which a screen can register your touch input and respond by rendering the next frame. Also called the touch refresh rate.
A nit is a measurement of the light that a display emits, equal to one candela per square meter. Brighter displays ensure a screen's contents are easy to read, even in sunny conditions.
Damage-resistant glass (such as Corning Gorilla Glass or Asahi Dragontrail Glass) is thin, lightweight, and can withstand high levels of force.
Gorilla Glass version

Gorilla Glass Victus

Gorilla Glass is one of the most popular brands of chemically strengthened glass, manufactured by Corning. Several versions have been developed, the newer ones being more durable and providing better damage resistance.
