The internal storage refers to the built-in storage space available in a device for system data, apps, and user-generated data. With a large amount of internal storage, you can save more files and apps on your device.
Random-access memory (RAM) is a form of memory used to store working data and machine code. Having more RAM is particularly useful for multitasking, allowing you to run more programs at once or have more tabs open in your browser.
The CPU speed indicates how many processing cycles per second can be executed by a CPU, considering all of its cores (processing units). It is calculated by adding the clock rates of each core or, in the case of multi-core processors employing different microarchitectures, of each group of cores.
The device has a standard memory slot (such as an SD or micro SD card slot) that enables you to extend the built-in internal storage with affordable memory modules, or easily retrieve data, such as photographs, from the memory card.
Small semiconductors provide better performance and reduced power consumption. Chipsets with a higher number of transistors, semiconductor components of electronic devices, offer more computational power. A small form factor allows more transistors to fit on a chip, therefore increasing its performance.
A 32-bit operating system can only support up to 4GB of RAM. 64-bit allows more than 4GB, giving increased performance. It also allows you to run 64-bit apps.
The maximum amount of external storage memory supported by the the device.
The system on a chip (SoC) has an integrated LTE cellular chip. LTE is capable of downloading at faster speeds than older, 3G technology.
Using big.LITTLE technology, a chip can switch between two sets of processor cores to maximize performance and battery life. For example, when playing a game the more powerful cores will be used to increase performance, whereas checking email will use the less powerful cores to maximize battery life.

Best parts of flagships w/out the pricey extras.

My overall experience so far with the S9 FE has been really good. No real issues. It doesn't feel like a budget tablet or a mid range tablet, it just feels like a functional tablet. The build is great, the overall specs are great, the performance for what I and I think most people will use it for is perfect. No issues. People will compare the Exynos 1380 to the A14 or A13 and gripe about the benchmarks. If that's all you're worried about, I don't know what to tell you. They are more powerful in the processor department. Will you notice when using it? I doubt it. Samsung also added some things that the iPads 9th and 10th Gen don't have that definitely balance it out. Samsung gives you an S Pen for free (it's really good), a 90 hertz screen (I don't care what anyone says, this TFT LCD is bright and looks sharp), twice the base storage (128 gigs), expandable storage up to 1 terabyte), two more gigs of RAM on the base model (6 gigs) and twice the RAM (8 gigs) on the 256 gig model, and 5G sim support on the base model. Those are really compelling extras. Now it's not all perfect. There are a few issues. Samsung included some bloatware. Not Windows level (although some is Microsoft) but it's there. It's mostly uninstallable. One Drive isn't for some reason. Samsung has some duplicate apps that just shouldn't be there but much of it can be uninstalled. For some reason McAfee is baked into One UI. That might be one of my biggest gripes. Why? No one wants that. It's not an app. It's part of the OS. It's in the settings menu. You don't have to use it but still. Another issue, no display out on the USB C port. Not the end of the world, not all devices have it, most probably won't need it. You can wirelessly stream you're screen REALLY easily though. That surprised me. Sent it right to the Roku. Also, if you don't have a Samsung phone, there are a few features that won't be useful. You'd have the same issue if you had any Android phone and bought an iPad or had an Apple phone and bought a Samsung tablet. Overall, this tablet seems to be a very competent device. It's really nice. Now if you have more money and a Tab S8 or S9 is on sale, maybe go for those. But don't count this one or the A9 out. They're very competent and they get 4 years of Android OS updates and 5 years of security updates. iPads may get more but that's really good. And these tablets will actually have the storage to support updates and your apps and photos (I'm looking at you iPads with 64 gigs).
