Should Anyone Buy This Phone?

Display Quality: The screen overall is good and the brightness works well outside in the sun. Watching videos on the screen was decent. Keep in mind, breaking the glass is gonna cost just almost as much as a new sony phone. Photography Ooh help me on this one, This was one of the worst features with the phone. Bad quality, did not want to focus right, and not "clear" pictures overall. If taking photos is a deal breaker then do not buy this phone. Performance Disappointed, I always loved Sony, since Xperia Z5, but this was shameful for the price it's being sold for, other phones within the same price range offer more in performance. It was lagging sometimes, opening my apps could take a bit of time, and it froze a few times, games were playable but risked being shut down. Battery Don't have anything bad to say about this. it's good, lasting a whole day for me without issues (i use the phone daily for videos, developing, music, etc). so the battery life is a plus. Bugs * Music apps (Spotify, Amazone Music, MP3) you name it. All of it crashed often, sometimes within the first minute of playing while other times you could listen a few hours before it shut down. had to reopen Spotify x times a day just to start the music again - Notice this is known within the sony community as I found a lot of topics about it. * Screen lock. A few times, my screen lock went black and I had to press "back" and/or re-press the power button 2 times. to be able to log in and open the phone. Would I recommend this phone to other users? No, the price is too high for its lack of performance, camera, etc. Better phones in the same price range are available which leads to a fall for this phone.

Pros

  • Clean design
  • Good battery
  • Good screen brightness

Cons

  • Bad Photo and Video
  • Lacking performance
  • Bugs with music and lock screen
  • Better phones in same price range

It doesn't hold up as well as Sony claims it should. The screen cracked incredibly easily compared to other smartphones I have owned. The charging port started to loosen after only three months. Neither the front nor back cameras take decent pictures. Besides this, I suppose it's an adequate phone for the price. You can tell that it does not have the fastest processor, but it does its job decently. It's a comfortable phone to hold, and you barely notice it when it's in your pocket.

Pros

  • Inexpensive
  • Comfortable to hold and easy to use
  • 5G

Cons

  • The display is easily damaged. Have replaced it 3 times in just over a year.
  • The charging port starts to wear out
  • After 1 year, the battery life is significantly worse.
  • Poor front and back camera
