Memphis runs on politics that do not benefit the city and its residents at any point. They’ve allowed companies to take over areas that need help which push our poverty stricken communities out onto the streets. The rent is BEYOND ridiculous to do so, and where does that leave them. With nothing. Ever city has their stricken areas, and instead of giving these people a leg up the push them to be desperate and turn to crime. It’s pretty sick. I’ve worked dispatch there a few months and learned the community needed more help than they are given. They are desperate people, do not come here if you want to survive. 10/10 something bad will happen. Be it Assault, robbery, auto theft, car jacking, domestic violence. The government made it a free for all. Esp if you visit downtown.
