Sure there are other headsets on the market that might perform "exceptionally better", but the truth is, you can get almost all of the "special stuff" in the quest 3 for half the price. The design is great, the display is an improvement over the quest 2 and the mixed reality is very cool.
You might say that this headset is not a good choice to play PC games on, but it really is...
Just plug in your USB-C 3.0 cable to your quest and PC, and there you have it. Don't waste your money on headsets that cost twice as much. The valve index is a very powerful headset but it's old and falling apart. Meta pro has stopped production because sales sucked, and the quest 3 is literally better in performance. I have to say it but the HTC headsets just aren't it in terms of design and layout (in my opinion). PSVR 2 is only compatible with PS5. And then you have headsets like the Vision pro and Varjo aero selling for insane amounts.
The only other headsets I would recommend looking into is Pico.

This is a virtual reality headset with a truly high resolution. It has a feature that transitions you between the real world and is equipped with high-quality cameras. Thanks to the depth sensor, you can perceive objects in your environment and interact with them in your gaming environment... I definitely recommend it...
Pros
An amazing VR headset...
Cons
The field of view could have been 110 degrees instead of 100, but it doesn't change much...

We consider a lower weight better because lighter devices are more comfortable to carry. A lower weight is also an advantage for home appliances, as it makes transportation easier, and for many other types of products.
Interpupillary distance (IPD) is the distance between the center of your eyes. Without adjustable IPD, the lenses of a VR headset may not line up with your pupils, which can result in eye strain and nausea.

Battery power, or battery capacity, represents the amount of electrical energy that a battery can store. More battery power can be an indication of longer battery life.

Pixel density is a measurement of a screen's resolution, expressed as the number of pixels per inch (PPI) on the screen. A higher pixel density translates into more clarity and sharpness for the images rendered on the screen, thus improving the quality of the viewing experience.

The CPU speed indicates how many processing cycles per second can be executed by a CPU, considering all of its cores (processing units). It is calculated by adding the clock rates of each core or, in the case of multi-core processors employing different microarchitectures, of each group of cores.

Random-access memory (RAM) is a form of memory used to store working data and machine code. Having more RAM is particularly useful for multitasking, allowing you to run more programs at once or have more tabs open in your browser.

The internal storage refers to the built-in storage space available in a device for system data, apps, and user-generated data. With a large amount of internal storage, you can save more files and apps on your device.
The device has a standard memory slot (such as an SD or micro SD card slot) that enables you to extend the built-in internal storage with affordable memory modules, or easily retrieve data, such as photographs, from the memory card.
A gyroscope is a sensor that tracks the orientation of a device, more specifically by measuring the angular rotational velocity. Initially, they were built using a spinning rotor to detect changes in orientation, like twisting or rotation.
An accelerometer is a sensor used to measure the linear acceleration of a device. A common application is detecting when a device changes between vertical and horizontal positions.

Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard that allows data transfers between devices placed in close proximity, using short-wavelength, ultra-high frequency radio waves. Newer versions provide faster data transfers.
3D audio provides a more immersive soundscape than traditional surround sound technologies, allowing you to pinpoint the exact direction that sounds are coming from.
