Imagine if Nintendo created the Switch OLED and marketed it to CEOs and politicians, as a suitable alternative to manage there companies, and pricing it at $1399.00.
This is what Meta seemed to think with the Quest Pro. I absolutely love my Switch OLED, and I absolutely love the Quest Pro, it’s become my go to head set because it’s so easy to pick up and use.
The clarity and visuals, while still not perfect, finally feel like here’s something I can enjoy. Without checking bay stations, cleaning lenses getting a lot of visual deterrents.
But Nintendo OLED is a $100 price Increase over the standard switch. Meta wants to justify the $1,100 price increase by adding a few productivity apps to the Meta Store and calling it a business tool for professionals.
I don’t see many scenarios where any business would find VR practical, especially when Microsoft HoloLens and Google Lens already tried and failed.
Especially with as many consumers reporting VR to be nauseating, claustrophobic, and simply unpleasant.
While I was pleasantly surprised by the clarity and capabilities of the Quest Pro. Roughly 15-20 minutes into wearing the head set, I started feeling pressure build on my forehead from the battery which sits behind the users head, pulling the head set onto my face. I tested this with other users Incase I just had a weird shaped head, but over and over, the user would take the head set off as it became Increasingly uncomfortable.
Your supposed to take breaks when using VR so I guess the heater forces you
The Quest Pro is a great headset, but given its limitations, I find it unlikely that Meta, ever considered this a serious business tool. I could see it costing $100 maybe $200 more, I love this head set, I don’t want to spend $1,100 more because Meta claims it’s a business tool.

The lenses and screen are an improvement from, for example the Quest 2 (havent tried Quest 3 yet), and the self tracking controllers are very good to have especially if you are a competitive player.
BUT, the strap is awful, forehead hurts alot, abit hard to adjust perfectly, love it when its not hugging my cheeks but it still has its flaws.
